NEW PUPPIES!(See photos of the mother and the maternal grandmother below) On Sunday, July 27, Ronnie did not eat her breakfast so I knew something was up. I started to groom 6 dogs so that I would not have to worry about them on Monday for pickup by the owners. By 12 noon her temperature began to drop the two degrees that indicate puppies will arrive within 12 hours.
I stayed up all night and finally at 3 am the first little girl arrived. Then she had another immediately followed by a L-O-O-N-N-G wait until the next series of 5 puppies arrived in rapid fire style from 5:30 to 6:10 am. Three more filled out a full set of 10 by 8:10 am. Now I track the weight gain with the puppies identified with the bright colored ribbons. So, may I introduce...
